Active Warrant Search in Hays County, Texas

Active warrants, those signed by a magistrate but not yet served, are not public records. Law enforcement keeps these confidential to prevent suspects from fleeing or destroying evidence. Once served, a warrant becomes public information (Article 15.26 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure). General public access to government records is governed by the Texas Public Information Act. The following are usually required to process a warrant request:
